So, How's Your Social Life?

So, How’s Your Social Life?

Facebook. Twitter. LinkedIn. This list goes on and on. Large and small businesses all over the world are taking advantage of these social media outlets to help promote their businesses and organizations. Let’s take a closer look at each social media outlet to get a better understanding of how you can utilize them to the fullest.
LinkedIn – a portal to connect and get connected with those you know and want to get to know on a professional level. There are a great number of people creating their company pages on LinkedIn to convey what products and services they have to offer. There exists an inherent problem, however. The company pages are completely linked to your personal profile. The benefit is that this allows employees to link to the company page, etc. The downside is that if you are the creator of the LinkedIn page and you use your profile link to create the page, you will forever be linked to the company page as its owner. Make sure you pay attention to this feature before pursuing a company page on LinkedIn. It is best to create a separate profile with an “info@” email address for the purposes of creating a LinkedIn page.
Twitter. It is all about updating. A Twitter profile will allow your current customers or followers to be up-to-date on information, events, news, etc. Using Twitter to your full advantage can help to generate some great leads and also potential customers. Why not use your Twitter Profile to give tips on issues that are relative to your company? This will guide your followers to ‘retweet’ and stay interactive with your page, giving you the upper-hand when it comes to your competitors.
Facebook. It is the ultimate social media outlet for all personal and professional avenues. Creating a fan page for your company is a vital tool in today’s society. At this point of the Facebook developmental process, people can virtually check-in to your facility letting all their friends know their favorite spots to go. Encouraging your friends to go to their ‘Places’ and ‘Checking in’ is this simplest form of marketing to date.
Taking full advantage of these social media outlets is the marketing phenomenon of today. There are so many different ways to use them and even more applications to download to your profile. It can make any business, large or small, look good!
